Health and wellbeing

Our breeding parents are DNA screened and our puppies receive veterinary examinations. We provide appropriate health documentation to prospective families on request.

We will always tell you what we have done and what the records show. We will not make promises about a dog's future health that nobody can honestly make. What we can tell you is exactly what care your puppy has received and what we know about their parents.

If there is a health question you would like answered before you commit, ask us. We would rather have that conversation early.

Preparation before your puppy joins you

A puppy is not simply handed over at eight weeks. In the weeks beforehand they are weaned gradually onto solid food, introduced to a routine, taught to spend short periods away from their littermates, and given as many gentle new experiences as we can manage.

The aim is that the change of home is the only big change your puppy has to cope with in their first week with you. Everything else, the food, the routine, the smell of the comfort item, stays the same on purpose.
